Fun Pumpkins

Here is another fun and easy to do pumpkin Tutorial.
Grab your fabric scraps and get busy! Dont have a fabric stash? You could go buy new fabric.... but before you do, take a look in the closets in your house, you can probably find some old clothes that dont fit, are torn or maybe have a small stain, etc.... there you go a free craft :)

Pez Dispenser Art

Yes, you DID read that correctly... Pez dispensers CAN be art..... Just take a look!

Stephanie over at Under the Table and Dreaming has created this fun and subtle art piece using Pez dispensers, of all things.

How fun would it be to change out the dispensers for each holiday or each child's birthday, using a theme of dispensers. Another idea would be to put one dispenser per frame and display as a collection on the wall. Go! Get creative :)

*Pins (floral or even straight pins would work)

Homemade Oilcloth!!!

Oh my!!!! I think that my heart may have just skipped a beat just from the title {LOVE}

Can you imagine....... oilcloth in ANY fabric/ print/ design that your heart desires?!

Imperfectly Beautiful tried out a little known product and had great results.  (and I am drooling over the fabric that she chose too) Now, Im not sure that you would be able to create a full size table cloth with the product, BUT There are so many other things that you can make:
Place mats, Bibs, Bags, Aprons, Buntings (see past post)...... I think that the possibilities may be endless :)

Weekend Roundup: Upcycle: Barbie Decor

Weekend Roundup!
Round up your daughters, some frames and old Barbie clothes.... we're getting crafty!

What do you do with YOUR old (yes vintage) Barbie clothes, you ask? Why, make some art with them of course! There is not a little girls' room around that these wouldn't look fabulous in! A must make..... even if you are crafty-challenged, you CAN make this project!

If someone didnt save your Barbie clothes for you.... this would be just as fun and CUTE to do with thrift store finds or even brand new out of package Barbie clothes too! I LOVE this idea.... if only there were more walls in my house! ;)

Whimsy version

I went to JoAnns today and got a bunch of different decor fabrics to make these.... I only looked at the remnants, which were a whopping 75% OFF!!!! My friend Angel and I decided to make them together and split the fabric.... so I added in a few extra fabrics than I wouldn't have bought if I was doing them by myself... yeah!!! I think that we will be making these before we make the Halloween costumes. So, expect to see some pics of our finished creations (maybe even along with a total for how much we spent too) AND Im feeling just crazy enough to go to all the JoAnns in a 20 mile radius and clear them out of their clearance remnants. (yeah, go ahead, do it, call me crazy)

Classic Baby Room

Here is a cute Nursery for a baby boy.... well, it could totally work for a girl too.....but  it was made for a boy. Be sure to check out the mobile made from fabric yoyos.... (I LOVE me some fabric yoyos)
Time Saver: You could easily find fabric yoyos on Etsy..... if you didnt want to spent the time cutting out a bunch of fabric circles.
Inspiration: One of these would look cute in ANY room.... yes even a living room or an older kid's room, even as party decorations. Use this as your inspiration and go WiLd! Try it with paper, combine the mobile idea with my last Upcycle post (from the same artisan).... Maybe even add in a smaller hoop inside.... get CREATIVE! :)

Supplies needed (at least, what I am guessing from the pics): 

fabric for yoyos (or premade yoyos)

string or ribbon for hanging

embroidery hoop

needle and thread or other adhesive to attach the yoyos
